Foster The People continue to ride a wave of success with their latest single “Don’t Stop,” so when one of New York’s hottest new acts St. Lucia decided to remix the trio’s hit instead of retooling the pop ditty as a dancefloor monster jam, St. Lucia went the opposite direction turning a decent pop track into an enthralling summer party anthem. Shredded rock guitars and a sax outro, Clarence Clemmons style, along with an ampted up beat make St. Lucia’s remix instantly infectious, begging you to a sunny patio with friends.

Ladyhawke, our other favourite Kiwi (sorry Kimbra!) returns with her sophomore album Anxiety next month, in the meantime unveiling her new video for the album’s first single “Black, White & Blue.” Inspired by the classic 70’s thriller Eyes of Laura Mars, starring Faye Dunaway, the video’s campy 70’s aesthetic, complete with costume jewelry, plenty of soft pastels and a wind machine for good measure. Ladyhawke plays up her own lyrics “your slow decent to madness has just begun” over the video’s theme, and we’re especially fond of her trusted Nikon camera and eclectic colourful array of extras. (Lady & the ironing board anyone?) Anxiety drops March 19th.

  Toronto duo Trust, made up of Robert Alfons and Maya Postepski, who plays drums in Austra, one of Toronto’s biggest exports of 2011. Releasing their debut single “Sulk” with Alfons baritone vocals, muddy synth, chilling beats for a creepy track that’s set the internet a blaze with talk “Sulk” and it’s hypnotic sound.
 

 Danish outfit The Asteroids Galaxy Tour drop their latest effort Out of Frequency, dosing the dancefloor in swanky horns, psychedelic funk swagger in a sunny pop shell.

   GAYNGS’ vocalist Channy Casselle and Producer Ryan Olson bring together their love of electronic adventurism with pop sensibilities and soulful vocals on their latest project Polica.
